3/8/2024 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: QMHP-C greeted Josiah as QMHP-C arrived to the home. Josiah appeared to be in a positive mood while discussing with QMHP-C how his day was going. Josiah verbalized to QMHP-C his day was going okay. QMHP-C engaged Josiah and his mother in a discussion to determine behaviors since the last session. Ms. Cosby expressed to QMHP-C Josiah continues to struggle with his communication skills which result in conflict in the house with the rest of his siblings at which mother reports these behaviors can last up to 10 minutes within the home. 2.Behavior: Josiah participated in the individual session and throughout the session he did not need any redirection. Josiah at times during the session was displaying hyperactive behaviors, but once he was redirected by QMHP-C he was able to regain focus on the session at which his behaviors lasted up to 2 minutes in duration to regain focus on the session. 1.Intervention: QMHP-C facilitated a therapeutic session to teach Josiah conflict resolution skills, respectful communication and compromise. QMHP-C conducted a therapeutic discussion to engage Josiah’s understanding of healthy conflict resolution. QMHP-C assisted Josiah in understanding positive methods of conflict resolution. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C educated Josiah on the importance of learning to continue to delay gratification. QMHP-C assisted Josiah in exercises that would assist him in continuing to decrease his negative reactions to others when he is in conflict or making attempts to manipulate others when he tries to get around rules’ authority tried to enforce. 1.Response: Josiah admits that authority figures tend to get into arguments with him because they take his responses to situations negatively. Josiah stated that he feels she only argues with people when they attempt to boss him around and become disrespectful. Josiah listened actively to QMHP-C and appeared receptive to the education. 2.Response: Josiah was able to verbalize some methods of conflict resolution such as taking timeouts before getting too upset. Josiah appeared to understand and agreed to utilize strategies to learn to delay instant gratification. Josiah was able to accept responsibility for his easily provoked anger. Josiah was able to verbalize the methods he should be utilizing and agreed to implement skills taught.
